  • Classic Game Room HD - BEN 10 ALIEN FORCE for Wii review

Posted by admin on September 3rd, 2009 and filed under kid games | 25 Comments »

Classic Game Room HD reviews BEN 10 ALIEN FORCE for Nintendo Wii video game console. Based on the popular Cartoon Network TV show, Ben 10 is a side scrolling beat ‘em up video game with a 3D style and multiple character changing gameplay elements. This CGRHD review of Ben 10 Alien Force has gameplay footage from Ben 10 Alien Force on Wii (also available on Nintendo DS), showing Spidermonkey at the Waterfall, how to use Big Chill and Jet Ray and Kevin and more. How does Ben 10 Alien Force compare to other side scroller beat em ups like Streets of Rage? Your character has an Omnitirix to change into monster or alien forms (whatever they are, I don’t watch the show). This is a fun game and sells at a value price, it may not be the best video game ever made but it keeps to a relatively faithful 2D side scrolling beatem up style while adding some new elements. Plays acceptably with the Wii controller and nunchuck. You can also disable the motion controls which is what I did. Ben 10 is rated E for everyone and is clearly a kids game, but older games looking for some new games on the Wii can find enjoyment with it as well. Classic Game Room HD reviews Wii games as a Wii reviewer reviewing games like Ben 10 Alien Force on Nintendo Wii published by D3.

Classic Game Room HD - DEAD SPACE review Part 1 Xbox 360

Posted by admin on August 16th, 2009 and filed under games | 25 Comments »

Part 1 of 2 in HIGH DEFINITION. Classic Game Room reviews DEAD SPACE for the Xbox 360 video game console. This Dead Space review shows gameplay and footage from this amazing game in HD High Definition game play video. Wow! It’s like they made this game for Classic Game Room! It may not have huge Atari sized pixels or ninjas, but what it does have is awesome science fiction ambience, sound design and story telling! You play as Isaac and crawl through a space ship infested with horrible aliens or mutated people, all of whom are trying to decapitate you and rip your limbs from your torso. Gameplay is solid, fast and intense. The video game reminds CGR of Alien, Event Horizon and the video games Bioshock, Resistance and Fallout 3. All good things. Dead Space is somewhat of a horror style 3rd person shooter (should have a FPS first person shooter option) set in space and featuring an awesome Sci-fi movie inspired plot. Hours of boring cutscenes are abandoned in favor of in-game storytelling through some really nice stylized screens and audio logs. There are lots of weapons including cutters and flamethrowers, each gun has 2 different modes of fire. Dead Space is sure to please those looking for a top-notch A-list shooter on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 PS3 or PC. We use the 360 version of the game for this review but we’d imaging, from what we’ve seen, that the PS3 Dead Space gameplay and footage is very similar if not identical. The game is awesome.

Azura Plays - Dr. Mario Online RX

Posted by admin on July 27th, 2009 and filed under online games | 25 Comments »

This is one of the secret segments I was talking about for Season 2. I was waiting and waiting for this one to come out, but it was taking so long I began to lose hope… but then I woke up to discover it’s golden beauty just waiting to be downloaded…

“_____ Plays” is a segment where one of the members of Team Azura make a 10 minute video of a new game that they JUST purchased. It’s designed to be sort of like a “First Impressions” video demo of the game. Unlike people who review the games (Which I guarantee you would have close to 0% trouble in locating) this gives you all the rough idea on what we thought of it the first time we played it.

So why did I wait for Dr. Mario Online RX? And why do I keep calling it by it’s full name? Because…

    I…

    LOVE…

    DR. FREAKIN MARIO!!!!!

So to sum it up in a few words, This video is the first 10 minutes of me playing the new Dr. Mario game, available on the Wii Shop Channel for 1,000 points. My opinion? BUY IT!

I also submitted my friend code for you guys, because YEAH, ONLINE MODE FOR TEH WINS!!!11 If you don’t want to load the video to see it, I’ll show it to you all right here.

Lookin’ forward to some super-awesome matches with you guys!

Classic Game Room HD - PIRATES: HUNT for BLACKBEARD’S BOOTY

Posted by admin on July 27th, 2009 and filed under kids games | 25 Comments »

Classic Game Room HD reviews PIRATES HUNT FOR BLACKBEARD’S BOOTY for the Nintendo Wii. This children’s game is rated E and allows younger gamers to play as one of many different pirates, skeletons and crazy characters in 5 different mini-games with a pirate theme. And these are good pirates, Yo Ho Ho pirates, not container ship hijacking pirates. This PIRATES HUNT FOR BLACKBEARD’S BOOTY review has gameplay footage from the game with 4 player action in games like Squidball (which is like Wii Croquet), Row Row Row for Your Life and more. The Wiimotes are used to control the motions and games like sword fighting should be very entertaining for groups of kids. You can unlock different locations and outfits for the pirates, win gold, buy new cannons and swords and more. Published by Activision. Classic Game Room HD reviews kids games as a kids Wii video game reviewer reviewing kids games appropriate for kids to play. Watch this review of PIRATES! Hunt for Black Beard’s Booty for the Nintendo Wii to see if it is a family video game your family will enjoy.

Classic Game Room HD - MECHANIC MASTER for Nintendo DS

Posted by admin on July 16th, 2009 and filed under brain games | 25 Comments »

Watch in High Definition! Our 1st Nintendo DS review! Classic Game Room HD reviews MECHANIC MASTER for the Nintendo DS handheld video game system. Shoot, crush, ignite, explode, squash, incinerate and eliminate aliens in this puzzle strategy game. This Mechanic Master review features gameplay footage from Mechanic Master for the Nintendo DS. Midway publishes this excellent game where you must use a variety of objects on screen to start a series of events that culminate in aliens being killed or humans being saved. Kind of like a souped up domino toppling experiment, like the world’s longest chain of dominoes being knocked over and aliens being squashed as a result. Mechanic Master features more than 100 levels with increasing difficulty and is addictive, fun and challenging. Mechanic Master uses the touch screen, is a one player brain game and packs hours of fun. Classic Game Room HD reviews Nintendo DS games in glorious high definition. CGRHD is the ultimate Nintendo DS reviewer reviewing Nintendo DS games for the Nintendo DS like this Mechanic Master review. Watch this Nintendo DS game being played in High Def.
