Do you have recommendations for books, games, websites for a four year-old who has a lot of curiosity about reading and spelling?
Assuming the child already knows the alphabet, the answer is to read, read, read! Read to your child, especially books that have repetitive patterns such as Eric Carle’s "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" Point to the words as you read them, but don’t turn it into a lesson. Your child will start to notice the patterns on his or her own.
Don’t bother with any "educational" games. They’re mostly a waste of time for kids who are already interested in reading. (They might be useful as a hook for kids who aren’t interested, though.)
Point out words in your environment wherever you go. Ask your child if s/he knows what the first letter of signs are as you drive around, or what some of the words are. (Logos and shapes will give extra cues for things like "Safeway" or a stop sign.)
I’m looking for a games website where you can play games for free where you just sign up and play games.
Obviously these free sites will have adverts on them but if it doesnt affect me playing games i dont care.
I’ve played a uk website but its not that good now and i love playing Ludo/Monopoly/Frustration etc board games and spelling games.
Just looking for a decent games site where you can interact with other members through chat or instant messaging and playing games.
I’ve tried soooo many site which are international so you are speaking to people outside UK looking for a site(s) that have people from UK using them also.
Play and win was suggested to me but it gets too jammed with people so servers are too slow.
If anyone can help please let me know as i am looking for friends as well to play games with and chat too.
Thankyou,
Steven
go to king.com, i play the games all the time its great. you can chat as well.
You see contestants look to the audience for help with games like punch a bunch , plinko, spelling bee I think to myself WHY it’s not like the audience knows where C. A. R is or where the 10,000 punch a bunch slip is or where to drop your plinko coin.
Kind of silly if you ask me.
I haven’t ever seen the logic in that either. If you have friends in the audience, I can see why they’d want to seek their opinion, but otherwise there’s no point to it.
What REALLY boggles me is why people will look to the audience while playing Bonkers.
i couldnt understand why the highest scorer in spelldown could get like 30,000 points. then i watched one of their games and they were spelling words that didnt exist. i mean you cant even pronounce them in english. i feel like i missing something. the game only accepts real words from me. can someone fill me in?
If you have a limited vocabulary then there are a lot of words that you don’t know exist. Before you assume that the word does not exist, realize that the more likely expanation is that you have simply never heard of it.
If you look at the way most people spell on this site, it’s apparent that most know very few words longer than 3 or 4 letters.
When I was little, I used to play this spelling game. It did not emphasize typing skills, it emphasized spelling skills. Here is a description of the game in-play:
It had 2D graphics, and you played as a little indian-type boy. You went around the given puzzle, pushing rocks and doing these other kinds of obstacles. ALSO, there was an old man in the corner of the screen, and if you were stuck he would sometimes mumble hints to you.
I am really trying to figure out what this game was, I played it when I was little, maybe ten years ago (I’m 16 now) and I really want to know the title of this game. Any help whatsoever is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Hey, thanks for the response. I have clue finders the game, so that isnt it. This game’s view is bird’s eye view, and you are a little indian kid (very 2d graphics, probably made around 1997?) and you walk around the puzzle pushing rocks and such, and the one part I remember is that there is an old guy in the left bottom corner.
im not sure about that game, but there is a series of games called ‘clue finders’ and in the 6th grade game, they give you the definition and you jump from rock to rock, earning wooden planks for a bridge you need to build.
play WORLD OF WARCRAFT!!!!!!! lol >.<
I can’t believe how hard this is to find. I’m looking for a spelling game that says the word out loud then has you type it. I’ve found a couple online, but they fail to use the words in a sentence so I don’t know if it wants me to spell "by" or "buy". Same with "ad" or "add".

it has 5 stages the fourth makes you tyoe it out and it will speak it too.
I am relatively new to Guild Wars and have just started to get into PvP battles. I use a PvP only character to fight but notice that the faction points I earn are transferable to my other characters. Can I use those factions with my level 12 campaign character to get a good elite spell?
Other Info:
Game version: Nightfall
Level: 12
Character: Ranger / Necromancer
Desired Skill: Barrage (elite skill)
Thanks
If you want Barrage for your Ranger, you have two options:
1) Find a boss with Barrage, kill it, use a Signet of Capture and then take Barrage. The first chance you would have to get Barrage in Nightfall would be Commander Kubeh during a quest called The Great Escape.
2) Unlock it for your account with Balthazar faction through PvP (which is what you’re asking about). Once unlocked, you can use an Elite Ranger Tome on your PvE character to learn any unlocked elite Ranger skills. You can buy them from other people in Kamadan, or get them to drop from Ranger bosses in Hard Mode.
If you’re short on cash, I would highly suggest the first method since an Elite Ranger Tome would cost somewhere around 6-9k.
I am not looking for RPG style games with spells and dungeons, but adventure genre like the old Kings Quest series (no, not Myst series, I dont like them). What are some of the better quality adventure style PC games?
Then you need to try this link to my favorite RPG game for the past several months. It rocks!!! and it is free and requires no downloading!

The song heard before many sports games simply goes - exuse the spelling but it just sounds like it " - wew ew ew oh oh oh, wew ew ew oh oh oh, wew ewwwwwwwwwww ew oh oh oh ". The intonation rises and falls and it has sorta a techno beat.
Trying to find the song… Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
