  • Do you have any ideas for kid party games?

Posted by admin on December 5th, 2009 and filed under kid games | 2 Comments »

My daughter is turning 7 and I am looking for easy party games to play any and all suggestions are appreciated. thank you in advance.
I have pin the tail and bingo

At that age there are lots of games you can play.

You can do tag games, relay races with gifts or other objects, treasure hunts, etc… The games should be simple in nature and the parents need to lead them into the game to get them started as kids often get distracted.

This site has a big list of games 40 or 50, so I would start here. http://www.partygameideas.com/kids-games/games-list.php

If that doesn’t work check out Christmas games.

    Have fun

Want some games that will hopefully get the shy ones playing too. Like the White Elephant gift exchange. Fun but not overly personal.

If you search for bowtie Christmas party games on google or yahoo you should get to a bowtieproducts site that will give you 5 new original games that will help make your night fun.

Some of the games especially Sandys Christmas Carol game can be adjusted for nearly any age 8 and up.

For parties mixers like this work because they give folks something to do while they get warmed up to each other. if they want to talk, they can talk, but if conversation lags games like these take up the awkward silences that many of us dread.

What’s nice is that people don’t all have to be in it to enjoy it. Some can just help out if asked or enjoy the groans of the answer section.

If links work in the answer blocks here’s the link

there is also some party giving advice you may enjoy.

My wife and I made up the puzzles and many people really enjoy them.

I hope they work out well for you

What do you do when a kid is addicted to video games?

What if he never leaves the house & is "afraid" of the sun because he’s never gone outside?

My 7 year old son is curious if other kids have this problem and wants to know what other parents would do! Thanks!
BTW: My son is asking about a friend of his… not him. We have a Wii that just SITS there off all but one or two hours a week! =)

That’s really sad. It’s sad but it’s true, children are victims of society, gaining a lot of weight, and the most disappointing observation I’ve made is most can NOT solve problems without the aid of an adult or a computer. You may not think of this as an answer, but more like an ode to simpler time that really wasn’t very long ago.

Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat. We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle. We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and no one actually died from this. We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter and drank kool-aid made with sugar, but we weren’t overweight because we were always outside playing. We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And we were okay.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem. We didn’t have Playstations, Nintendo’s, X-boxes, not even a Gameboy. No 150 channels on cable, no cel phones, internet, DVD’s, MP3’s, or PC’s. We had FRIENDS and we went outside and found them, even on rainy days where the worst part would be getting a soaker.

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and there were no lawsuits from these accidents. We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes. We rode bikes or walked to a friend’s house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them. Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn’t had to learn to deal with the disappointment. Imagine that.

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law.

These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever. The past 20 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all. If you are one of us . . . congratulations.

Share this with your kids so they will know how brave, and lucky, their parents were.

I have a six year old and he wants a WII like crazy but of course I can’t find one.( I can but I’ll be ripped off) So I’m thinking of a PS3 or an XBox 360. Which console has better kid games?
    I found the WII!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!

All 3 have some kid-appropiate games but Wii is best by far for a kid at his age!
If you cant find one just keep trying or ask him if he wants a Nintedo DS, its a very good handheld!

what gaming system is better for kids, have more kid games for ages 4 to 9? Gamecuba or etc.?

For Kids I would recommend Wii

Does anyone have a teenage kid addicted to video games?

I just wonder if it’s healthy for my son to playing this on line game called Final Fantasy. I’ve tried to tell him he’s shooting all his youth away to this game but he can’t stop playing it. Thank God he finally got a job and school started. At least that let his fingers cool off.

It’s EXTREMELY possible and quite likely!
My son will be 19 in a couple weeks and since he was age 9 he’s been fascinated with video games and computer games. Since then my son went from enjoying going out, to becoming a housebound slug with a weight problem. He gets winded walking down the driveway.

He hasn’t gone out in years. If he does go out, it’s for a very short time because he needs to get back because his "friends" are waiting for him (friends IE,, people he’s never met but he talks to all day.)

He has no real life friends,, he still hasn’t been out on his first date, and when it comes to hygeine, because he can’t pull himself away from his games, he’ll dodge bathing for as long as he can.

(He doesn’t live with me, because if he did,, he wouldn’t be addicted to games because I’d pull the plug on his internet, and take away his gaming consoles!

Anybody know of any inside kid/teen games?!?

Posted by admin on October 18th, 2009 and filed under kid games | 2 Comments »

Any kid games for about 10 kids or teen games for about 10 teens would be great. Indoor or outdoor, I prefer indoorthough. Websites would be great. Thank you!

my fav game for bdays (for kids) is Silly String Painting. you set up some big pieces of paper, get some silly string, and the kid (or teen) to spray the best picture in 10 seconds wins!
