Hmm. Try a Gameboy or something like that. Or if your not into videogames you can try coloring books or a v-tech or um..Pick a color and see how many cars you can find of that color. Or pick a state and see how many cars have a liscese plate of that state.

I want to teach my kids more about money. I wish I had money to give them (or have them earn) so that they could learn by using money, but I don’t. So I’m wondering if anyone knows of any good programs or games that are good teaching tools for children. Ages 7-14. Thanks!

There a lot of good games out there that let kids learn the basics about money. Monopoly is good as is the game of Life, and many others. Another way is to teach your kids the value of money. If they want that new video game that just came out, they should work for it. Wash the neighbor’s car, cut their lawn, walk their dog, ETC… This way they will understand how much work and effort goes into buying that $50 game or toy. I always like those machines that sort your pocket change and make it easy to save rolls quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies.

The theme at my family reunion this year is Christmas. I need to come up with some Christmas themed group games for people aged 7 to 20. If any materials are needed they need to be common items I can find around the house.

mavel ultimate allience is fun and its not gorey or anything.

xbox 360 was made for older players not little kids. so you would be better with a wii for young kids

He is really mature for his age but he likes games like Kingdom Hearts and all.

tag, hide and go seek, go fish and mostly anything fun! Im 30* and i have 4 kids…. they love those games.

We are getting a pontoon boat this weekend. The water will not be to warm so I know the kids (6&7) will not swim to much. What are some things that I can take for them to keep busy?

Try board games? Books. Hand-held electronics, laptops that have downloaded flash games to keep them interested for short periods also works.

I posted a link in my sources that has some good games. My favorite is Pass the Pigs. Good for you youngsters and grown-ups. You may also want to get a magnifying glass or plant ID book and do some nature walks with them. I know it sounds corny but I remember getting excited about seeing things in real life that were in the books.
