Posted by admin on February 2nd, 2010 and filed under games | 3 Comments »

I am having a pool party for my 11th birthday. Five girls can come. It doesn’t really matter that it’s a pool party, I just wanted to ask, What are some games that you love to play at parties?
What are some ideas? If you mention a not-common game, please briefly explain how that game works.

squirt gun tag…If you get hit by a squirt gun your it!

    Marco Polo

Well with you that makes 6…so you can play team games, like water volley ball…3 against 3

    water balloon fights are fun

I’m helping a friend plan her daughters birthday party. The kids are between 7 and 8 years old. I have board games, but I need fun interactive games. Thanks for the help!

This is easy….I love planning parties for little kids…

    Pass the parcel
    Musical Chairs
    Musical Statues
    Get a Piniata
    Scavenger Hunt
    Lolly Hunt
This game where everyone gets a baloon tied to their ankle, and everyone goes around trying to pop others baloons while protecting their own … last baloon alive wins!

    Hope I Helped!

How to become a computer games designer?

Posted by admin on January 24th, 2010 and filed under games | 2 Comments »

My ideal job would be to become a computer games designer. I know it seems a bit of a pipe dream as its a very competitive industry and I don’t have any experience whatsoever. I can do the artwork and layout etc and I have a very very basic grasp of programming (although I’d really just like to be involved in the design of the game). Any ideas on how to make it happen?

It’s not a pipe dream, but it is a lot of work. I’ve been attending the Art Institute of Washington here for my fourth year, have about 7 classes left till graduation. I tell ya, it’s been a ride, a lot of sleepless nights to make deadlines, and rigorous professors. My game modeling and level design professor is actually from Firaxis Games, the makers of the Civilization series, and we have a program called Pizza with the Pros, which lets us meet someone from the industry of design or another form of media arts.

The bare essential thing you need to get a job in the industry is a BFA in game design, and the Art Institute is the best place to get it; not DeVry, they suck total ass.

Give the Art Institute a look-up, take a tour, see if it’s really what you want to do. About 70% drop out after their first half of the first year though, they just can’t take the amount of work it is.

It sure as hell beats the crap out of studying all night though. ;)

What are some outdoor games that could be played at a fundraiser?

Posted by admin on January 20th, 2010 and filed under games | 2 Comments »

My high school is setting up a fundraiser and it is going to be like a mini carnival type thing. What are some easy games that kids can play outdoors. The games have to be fast so people don’t have to wait in line for forever. An example is the bean bag toss.

balloon pop, fishing, wheel of fortune, lucky ducky, guess the number of beans (or whatever) in the jar, ring toss, lolly pop tree, hula hoop / jump rope contest, bowling, dunking booth, basketball shots (if access to goals), stick on tattoo booth, blow up rides …………………

My girlfriend and I have a long-distance relationship and use Skype to talk and to play games. However, it seems like we can’t play the games on Skype anymore. We’ve tried to go to sites online, but the ones I tried will let me play with random people online, but not with her. What are some sites that I can play games and play games with her online?

The best game website that you can play games online for free is
    http://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/retro/

That site has thousands of professionally made games and they are all free and playable online right in the browser!

How do I get my games do work while my Firewall is running?

Posted by admin on January 13th, 2010 and filed under games | 2 Comments »

I have Comodo Firewall, and for some reason it’s blocking my games from coming up when I try to play them. Like, the game will install and all, but when I try to play it, it’ll give me an error message and say that the game has stopped working.

When I uninstall Comodo, the game will work just fine.
And I can’t find out how to allow the file of the game through Comodo.
    Can someone help me out?

You need to set an exception in firewall for your game. After that your firewall and game will function well.

How do you put iTunes games on a 4th generation iPod nano without removing old games?

Posted by admin on January 10th, 2010 and filed under games | 2 Comments »

The old games I have on my iPod are from a different computer, but I purchased a new game on iTunes and the only way it will let me put my new game by syncing it, erasing the old games. Is there any way to put the new game on without getting rid of the old ones? (I have a mac, if that makes a difference in terms of directions (: ) Thanks!

you can export the old game to your itunes with the Aniosoft ibackup software, then sync it.

In recent days i met a friend who has an iPod with bunch of cool music on it. so I would like to enjoy these cool songs in my ipod, but I do not know how to get them.luckily my friend told me a great tool called aniosoft iBackup, which can transfer music from ipod to iTunes and it’s super-fast, only need a few minutes.so i recommend this one to all of you with problem of transferring music off iPod/iPhone.

What xbox 360 games are good for couples?

I like games with a storyline and adventure. No RPG’s please! I like to explore to RPG’s you only get to fight.

    Fun games i have played:

    Spyro
LEGO: Indiana, star wars, batman ect.
    Damnination

These should provide some good examples, nothing to childish as my boyfriend will not play them. Also please no guitar hero or rockband those games get old after a while.

    Thank you!

Fallout 3 is a brilliant game and is in the running for Game of the Year. It does have some RPG qualities, though not many. The storyline is epic, graphics are amazing and the gmae, as a whole is amazing.

A game that is coming out, Assassins Creed 2, is going to be awesome. Even though this is more a male game, if you yourself like video games you will still enjoy it. Going on the first installment, this game will be monstrous in terms of next generation gaming.

Red Faction: Geurilla is a game I have recently brought and is #2 in the gaming ranks at the moment, this game as amazing and shouldn’t be missed. #1 in the ranking is Prototype, a brilliant game which I also have. This can keep you going for many, many, many hours since it is a sandbox style game, similiar to all of the above.

    Hope this helps!
